  • A doula is a trained professional who offers emotional, practical and informational support during pregnancy, birth and the early postnatal period.
    Unlike midwives or doctors, a doula does not provide clinical care. My role is to support, reassure and guide you through the experience.

  • Absolutely. A doula supports the whole family. Many partners feel more confident and involved with extra guidance, reassurance and practical support during labour and birth.

  • No. A doula works alongside your existing maternity team and does not replace medical care.

  • Sessions can include labour and birth preparation, pain relief options, birth partner support, feeding choices, newborn care and emotional wellbeing — all delivered in a calm, personalised way.

  • Many families book between 24–34 weeks, but support can be helpful at any stage of pregnancy.

  • Yes — and also for parents who’ve done this before and would like a different, more personalised experience.

  • Hypnobirthing uses breathing, relaxation and mindset techniques to help reduce fear and tension during labour, helping you feel calmer and more in control.

  • Not at all. These techniques can be helpful for vaginal birth, induction, assisted birth or caesarean birth.

  • Baby massage is often suitable from around 2–6 weeks, once feeding is established and you feel ready to join.

  • That’s completely normal. Sessions are baby-led, so you’re always welcome to feed, cuddle, change or settle your baby whenever needed.

  • Antenatal and postnatal sessions are usually held in the comfort of your own home. Group sessions such as baby massage, yoga and sling support are held locally. Check social media for current venues and times.

  • Yes. Private support is available for antenatal, postnatal, hypnobirthing and selected baby support sessions at home or online.
